Stokes Bay has been voted one of the top picnic areas in the UK. There are picnic benches at various locations within the grass areas behind the promenade and four BBQ stands with integral hot bin and picnic bench nearby: these were donated by Gosport Rotary Club enabling visitors to safely enjoy their BBQ without damaging the grass. Three are on the field behind GAFIRS and a fourth beyond the Splash Park.
